Trade unions have cancelled a large protest action near Parliament

Among the reasons for the cancellation – the unwillingness to become a tool of manipulation.

The Federation of trade unions of Ukraine has cancelled scheduled for November 17 protest, which was planned by the Verkhovna Rada. This was announced by the head of the Federation Grigory Kosovo at a meeting with head of Parliament Andriy Parubiy.

The main reason for the cancellation shares, the transfer consideration of the budget at the beginning of December. Kosovo says he had to cancel pre-booked transport for residents of the regions and to bear other expenses, but now the action is considered inappropriate.

“Took into account the warnings of law enforcement, different political forces or social movements want this day to hold the flash mob and use the potential of trade unions as a screen of General national discontent,” – said Kosovo.

Parubiy thanked the trade unions for the position and stressed that he hoped the adoption of the budget on 8 December.

However, trade unions will hold a rally on the day of adoption of the budget outside the Parliament, protesters “will to assist” parliamentarians that the document was adopted. The purpose of their protest is the payment of higher prices for natural gas, tariffs for housing and communal services and improvement of living standards of workers.

We will remind, at yesterday’s rallies in the city center were mainly pensioners and young people. On the question of the goals of the campaign reacted aggressively, and some never knew why they came.
