By the end of 2016, the volume of transit of Russian gas through Ukraine to Europe could grow by 19% – up to 80 billion cubic meters.

This forecast was voiced by the head of the press service of “Ukrtransgaz” Maxim bielawski.

“We expect in 2016 the growth of the annual volume of transit for Europe of up to 80 billion cubic meters of gas – it is more by 19% than the last year’s figures,” wrote bielawski in Facebook.

We will remind, in January-October, the transit of Russian gas increased by 20% compared to the same period of the previous year and amounted to 65.3 billion cubic meters.

Ukraine buys gas from Russia for a year.
