The Soviet government has forcibly relocated the family here in the writer 40 years to control people.
In Kiev, opened the apartment-Museum of the family of the famous Ukrainian writer Ivan Franko, says the story TSN.19:30.
The Foundation of this Museum was initiated by the writer’s grandson, Roland of Franco.
This apartment in a former tenement building in 1949, the Soviet authorities forcibly resettled a family from the city of Taras, the second son of Ivan Franko. So the regime was easier to follow the descendants of the writer and not to allow their Pro-Ukrainian activities. Until last year, lived here the granddaughter of Franco – Darius-Lubomir. She has saved family manuscripts and photographs, which became the basis for the exhibition.
