The Minister of foreign Affairs of Germany has ruled out the possibility of easing sanctions against Russia now.

The Minister of foreign Affairs of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier hopes that the exchange of prisoners between the conflicting sides in Donbas will be held before Christmas.

But the German foreign Minister again pointed to the stagnation in the implementation of the Minsk agreements.

“The ceasefire regime is violated in the future, in resolving major political questions we are also far advanced,” stated Steinmeier.

The Minister also ruled out the possibility of easing sanctions pressure on Russia to achieve progress in the implementation of the Minsk agreements. “When they made strides in the implementation of the Minsk agreements, then we can think about relevant developments regarding sanctions,” Steinmeier concluded.
