The decision establishes a new order of formation of the tariff wage.
The Verkhovna Rada has supported a bill which increased the minimum wage and insurance payments in Ukraine.

“For” bill No. 5130 voted 227 people’s deputies.
The main purpose of the adoption of the draft act is to improve the legislation in the sphere of raising the minimum wage and insurance payments, the legalization of relations in the sphere of employment and wages, by delegation to local authorities of powers in the field of control over observance of legislation on labour and employment, as well as imposing fines for its violation. The project provides a new procedure for the formation of a tariff of remuneration. In the public sector minimum wage rate (salary – ed) will be established by the Cabinet, and non-budget sector enterprises will independently determine tariff rates in the collective agreements.
The minimum wage rate cannot be below the subsistence minimum established for able-bodied persons on 1 January of the calendar year.
The bill provides for changes regarding pension provision for 2017 renewal of a special procedure for the payment of pensions to working pensioners; the determination of the maximum pension in absolute amount at 10 740 hryvnias.

We will remind, the President Petro Poroshenko announced increasing the minimum wage from 1 January 2017. Earlier, the Prime Minister Vladimir Groisman made a sensational statement about raising the minimum wage in Ukraine up to 3200 UAH.
