The carriers claim that by raising rates they will be able to upgrade the fleet of buses.
In Kiev, the fare on the bus will grow to UAH 8.
This was stated by the Director of the shipping company “Soyuz-auto” Yuri Nesterchuk, writes “Today”.
“We have already filed in the KSCA documents with our calculations of the new rates. On some longer routes, we plan to raise the fare to 7-8 hryvnia (now 5-6 UAH)”, – he said.
According to Nesterchuk, the company regularly updates the bus fleet and plans to replace it in five years.
“But to do so at current rates it is impossible! In the calculations we take into account the increased cost of fuel and spare parts. Now waiting for a response from gorvlasty and plan to introduce new tariffs until the end of the year,” he added.
At the same time, the company “Polytech-auto B” projected fare increase in March.
“I think the fare can rise by 50 cents,” said the Director of the company Nikolay Batsan.
In turn commuter carriers also promise to increase tariffs, which is associated with the increase from 1 January the minimum wage to RS 3200.
As noted, now all of the Kiev carriers look forward to the new competition on more than 60 routes, which the city will hold at the end of December, which will depend on if that increases the cost of travel until the new year.
