The European Union Commissioner for enlargement and European neighbourhood policy, Johannes Hahn addressed the EU Council and the European Parliament with a call as soon as possible to adopt a mechanism of suspending visa-free regimes with third countries.
The European Commissioner wrote on Twitter.

“Georgia, Ukraine, visa liberalisation: congrats to the agreement on the suspension mechanism. Urge the EU Council and the European Parliament to take a decision as soon as possible,” said Gan.

Earlier it was mentioned that on Wednesday the results of the next round of negotiations between the EU Council, the European Parliament and the European Commission adopted a draft legislative resolution on a new mechanism for suspension of visa-free regimes with all third countries, on which depends the decision on the abolition of visa requirements for Ukrainian citizens.
