EU ambassadors confirmed the agreement between the EU Council and the European Parliament concerning the mechanism of suspension of the visa-free regime between the EU and third countries.
This is with reference to a source in the EU Council, UNIAN reports.
“The Committee of permanent representatives on 7 December confirmed on behalf of the Council a compromise text agreed with the European Parliament on the revision of the mechanism of temporary suspension that can be applied to all existing agreements on liberalization of the visa regime”, – informed the Council of the EU.
Note from the solution of this question depended on positive decision about granting Ukraine visa-free regime.
Now the decision must be voted by the European Parliament and the Council of the EU.
We will remind, on Wednesday, December 7, the results of the next round of negotiations between the EU Council, the European Parliament and the European Commission adopted a draft legislative resolution on a new mechanism for suspension of visa-free regimes with all third countries, on which depends the decision on the abolition of visa requirements for Ukrainian citizens.
