In the presence of the leaders signed a number of documents.

Today, 12 December, on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Ukraine and Lithuania in Kyiv was attended by President of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaite.

Grybauskaite’s visit began with an official welcoming ceremony on the porch of the presidential Administration. Subsequently, they were scheduled to meet eye to eye, the press service of Poroshenko.

In the end, they issued a joint statement. It says about the fruitful cooperation between the two countries and diplomatic relations, which have stood the test of time.

In a statement, Poroshenko and Grybauskaite condemned the occupation of Crimea and Russian aggression in the Donbas.

“Our countries strongly condemn the temporary occupation of the territory of Ukraine – the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol by the Russian Federation and its aggression in the Donbas. We urge the international community to continue active political, diplomatic and other efforts to restore the territorial integrity of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders in the interests of stability and security throughout Europe”, – stated in the message.

The presidents also took part in the meeting of the Council of presidents of Ukraine and the Republic of Lithuania, the results of which were signed several bilateral documents. In particular, the Ministry of ecology and natural resources of Ukraine and Ministry of environmental protection of Lithuania adopted the agreement on cooperation in the field of environmental protection. The document is aimed at strengthening cooperation in the field of environmental protection and rational use of natural resources, as well as interaction of the parties with the goal of addressing regional and global environmental problems.

Between the Ukrainian Ministry of health and the Ministry of health of Lithuania signed a Memorandum of understanding that should facilitate the expansion of cooperation with Lithuania in the issues of development and reforming of health system in Ukraine, the prevention and control of diseases, improving policies in the field of medicine, medical and psychological rehabilitation. The said cooperation plan implemented through the exchange of information, experience and experts, training and joint research.

In addition, the Chairman of the State service of Ukraine on labour Roman Chernega and the Ambassador of the Republic of Lithuania in Ukraine Marius Janukonis signed a Protocol on cooperation between the State service of Ukraine on labour and the State labour Inspectorate of Lithuania. The document determines the form of bilateral cooperation: exchange of experts, organization of workshops, participation in conferences and other events, and so on.

The President of Lithuania arrived to Ukraine with working visit. The Ukrainian President met her on the porch. Bank with flowers, after which they began to meet eye to eye. Then will take part in session of Council of Presidents of Ukraine and the Republic of Lithuania the results of which is scheduled to sign bilateral treaties.
