The employment service has opened Ukraine’s largest job fair right at the capital station

December 12 in the station building the station Kiev-Passenger in the waiting hall No. 4 at the initiative of the State employment service and the state enterprise “Ukrzaliznytsya” has opened a jobs fair “In the new year with a new job.”

The largest employers of Kiev and the surrounding areas for 5 days will offer more than 4,000 jobs.

This was stated by the acting Head of the State employment service of Ukraine Valeriy Yaroshenko during the Grand opening of the job fair, the press service of the NHS.

“The capital’s railway station is one of the most visited places in the largest city of Ukraine. So it is here, together with Ukrzaliznytsya we carry the largest

job fair. Today one official vacancy claims 6 unemployed but large enterprises are constantly experiencing a shortage of qualified personnel. Today in Ukraine remain closed for about 50 thousand. jobs and our mission to help them as soon as possible to complete. During the year, we are seriously and systematically implement the reform and now you can see for yourself in this. Don’t people go to the employment service and the employment service is to people. This is the third such event in recent times. Similar job fairs have already passed in the Moscow metro and the results were very serious ― got about 2000 people”, – said Vladimir Yaroshenko.

The job fair will be held from 12 to 16 December from 9:00 to 17:00. During the event, more than 180 major employers will present their jobs. Among them: “Railways”, “Sberbank”, “PrivatBank”, “METRO cash & carry Ukraine”, “Foxtrot”, “NOVUS”, “WOG”, “New mail”, “Ukroboronprom” and many others.

“At a time when there is very little positive information, these events are very important. They show that the authorities are going to meet people and become more accessible. By the way, recently we presented the Ukrainian initiative the labour market in the European Parliament and I want to say that our colleagues from the EU were pleasantly surprised by the experience and even begin to learn from our experience”, ― noted people’s Deputy of Ukraine, member of the parliamentary Committee on social policy, employment and pensions Natalia Veselova.

In the solemn opening ceremony took part the Deputy Head of the State employment service (Central office) Sergey Kravchenko, head of the personnel policy of the South-West, Ukrzaliznytsi Natalia Gruz, Director of the Kiev youth center Anna Kutsenko.

The number of employers that during January-October of 2016 collaborated with centers of employment, amounted to 152 million (which is 5 thousand more than in the corresponding period last year). The number of vacancies was 807,3 thousand, of which had been registered since the beginning of the year 781,3 thousand compared to the corresponding period last year the number of registered vacancies increased by 37 thousand the level of staffing vacancies in the whole country increased from 80% to 82%. In January-October 2016 the services of the state employment service for job search received more than 1 million registered unemployed.

With the assistance of the employment service, the job was given to 655,3 thousand, 24 thousand more than in the corresponding period last year. At the same 258 million People (or nearly 40%) were employed in search the period till the acquisition of the status of unemployed, which is a quarter more than in the corresponding period last year.

For additional material support during the search for the main place of work to participate in social and other work of a temporary nature brought 212,3 thousand, 6 thousand more than in January-October of 2015.

To ensure compliance with professional qualification requirements of employers, in the direction of the employment services professional training shall be 152.3 thousand unemployed, including 34.5 thousand people studied in the centers of vocational education state employment service.

Career guidance services were provided for 2.5 million citizens.
