SBU interviewed 1402 personnel who have been victims of torture of terrorist groups “DNR” and “LNR”. Most of them stated that they used torture to compel to move on the enemy. The Ukrainian counterintelligence has warned 76 facts for recruitments of soldiers.

This was reported by representatives of the security service at a press briefing on the activities of the military counterintelligence.
“We also documented 27 fighters, who after being held captive defected to the enemy and are now taking part in armed conflict on the side of terrorist groups”, – noted in SBU.
At the same time, 63 military who because of the torture were forced to cooperate with the FSB, after returning themselves reported the recruitment attempt. Accordingly, they will be released from criminal liability.
Today, 47 of the former military decided to turn to the international court about ill-treatment in the occupied territories by the Russian special services. 31 complaints have already gone through the chain of command, including the name of the UN high Commissioner for human rights.
