The head of the Ukrainian foreign Ministry commented on the new format of negotiations on settling the situation in Eastern Ukraine.
The Russian Federation should carry out their duties, despite the format of the talks on conflict settlement on Donbass.
This was stated by Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin, writes “Interfax-Ukraine”.
“The question still is not in the format, and a clear political position and the ability to force Russia to fulfill its obligations”, – he stressed.
According to Klimkin, the more key players involved in the negotiations on settling the situation in Donbas, the better.
“For Russia it is a question of the “global agreement”. This global influence, and the Middle East, and oil prices and many other issues,” – said the Minister.
Separately, the Minister said that for Ukraine it is important to achieve a positive result in real time, because the more he delayed, the better Russia will destabilize the situation in the country.
We will remind, earlier Klimkin said that Russia deliberately delaying “Minsk”, hoping to shift the participants of the “Normandy format”. In his opinion, the Kremlin hopes to negotiate with the leadership of the United States.
