In Ukraine for the first time in 25 years I want to reduce the electricity tariff

The national Commission plans to adopt a decision on December 20.
In 2017, the wholesale market price for electricity will decrease by 15.2%. This happens for the first time in 25 years, when rates have steadily increased.
The decision about new value of the national Commission, carrying out state regulation in energy and utilities, plans to take on 20 December, the League.Business. In the draft resolution of the national Commission proposes to set the average wholesale market price for 2017 at the level 1285,06 UAH/MWh, without VAT (now – 1490 UAH/MWh, without VAT).
Cost reduction will occur twice. From 1 January, the decline is 10% and the price drops to 1341,57 UAH/MWh. From 1 April the rate will still decrease by 5.8% – to UAH 1263,76/MW.

The Minister of energy and coal industry Igor Nasalik in the air “112 Ukraine” confirmed the information and said that reduction will occur for the first time in 25 years.
The basis for decision-making will be stable electricity generation in Ukraine. Because of this should reduce electricity tariffs for the population. But how and whether this can happen, is still unknown.
Earlier Nasalik assured that Ukraine will not be rolling blackouts.
