The government has appointed a Commissioner for the rights of people with disabilities, they became Raisa Panasyuk.

Panasyuk is Director of the center socially-psychological rehabilitation of children and youth with functional limitations “Harmony” in the winery.

Groisman also suggested to contact the head of the Verkhovna Rada Andrew Parubiy and to hold in Parliament a special day on the issue of people with disabilities for consideration and adoption by the government of bills.
“We will make laws that will make them the package will request the package be considered at the meeting of Parliament. We all come in the Parliament and will work hard to ensure that these laws were passed,” – said Groisman.

Recall, Poroshenko has increased the liability for violations of the rights of people with disabilities. President Petro Poroshenko has urged citizens to change their attitude to people with special needs and signed a decree, which implements human rights with special needs and increases penalties for their violation.
According to Poroshenko, to change public opinion and attitudes towards people with disabilities first need to strengthen the responsibility for violations of the rights of people with special needs, provide necessary medical and rehabilitation services and to form in the minds of the tolerant attitude towards people with disabilities.
