According to policy, Europe is losing the trust of Ukrainians.
The postponement by the European Parliament date of consideration of a question on bezveze for Ukraine and Georgia on April disappoint Ukrainian society.
Wrote about this on his page in Facebook the first Vice-speaker of the Ukrainian Parliament Irina Gerashchenko.
“The actions of the EU, the European Parliament and other institutions that unnecessarily delay bezveza, cause frustration and resentment. The EU is Ukraine teaches to be a responsible partner…. All that is happening now in Brussels and other European capitals is a great historical mistake,” she said.
Also Gerashchenko said that the Ukrainians and Georgians (the delay in the adoption bezveza – approx.ed.) didn’t deserve it.
“You don’t draw conclusions from 2008, dear friends, the Europeans, when Putin was also shown that he can impose on the West their position did not give Ukraine and Georgia membership action plan with NATO”, – she added.
Politician also assured that the Ukrainian society is losing trust in EU – “and the fault and responsibility of the European Union”.
Recall Segodnya, December 15, the European Parliament has supported the introduction of a mechanism for suspension of visa-free regime between the EU and third countries.
Also note that the European Commission has acknowledged that Ukraine has fulfilled all the conditions for visa-free regime in December 2015. In the fall of 2016, the draft on granting the right of visa-free travel to Europe for citizens of Ukraine had been approved by the committees of the European Parliament. In November, the decision approved in the EU Council.
Before the relevant European Parliament Committee on civil liberties, justice and home Affairs approved a mechanism for the temporary suspension of visa-free regime with third countries. The adoption of this issue is a condition of visa-free regime for Ukraine and Georgia. After a decision by the relevant Committee it must be voted in the plenary of the European Parliament and approved by the Council of the European Union.
The European Parliament has published a new date consideration of the issue of visa-free regime for Ukraine. The Ukrainian issue will be put to a vote April 3. At the same time, the decision concerning the abolition of visas to Georgia will be taken before.
