Extruded wood turned the room into a giant oven, which barely managed to save spare parts for vehicles and tires to the chassis of the aircraft. To localize the fire, firefighters poured water on an adjoining hangars. There were no casualties, but the losses are considerable – suggesting that the product was burned on hundreds of thousands of hryvnia.
The causes of the fire will be set by investigators. Rescuers say that winter fires in warehouses is commonplace. “The working day has ended, the temperature decreased. Maybe someone left the heater came to work, and in the office warm. They are not heated,” – said one of the employees of gschs.
