The US government and the IMF supported the nationalization of “PrivatBank” – the Ministry of Finance

International partners endorsed the government’s decision.
Finance Minister Alexander danyluk said that “PrivatBank” created a new professional management team, with the support of one of the international companies. Its composition will be announced after a certain time.

He said this today, December 19, during a press conference.
According to him, all international partners, including the IMF, the EBRD, the governments of US and UK support nationalization of “PrivatBank”.
Yesterday, on December 18, the government supported the proposal of the National Bank and the financial stability Board on the transition of the PJSC “PrivatBank” in the absolute state property. It is expected that the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine will become the owner of 100% of shares of “PrivatBank”. It ensures smooth functioning of the institution and preserve the funds of its clients.
