Gref says the reduction of assets of the Ukrainian “daughter” of the financial institution.
The largest Russian state “Sberbank“, despite political pressure and a decrease in assets, is not going to leave the Ukrainian market and sell business here.
This was stated by the head of the financial institution, German Gref in the air “Russia 24”.
“In Ukraine, we are working in difficult conditions every week accidents happen. Our assets are compressed yet. We do not see any prospects for a very fast exit from the market and continue to work”, – said Gref.
He said that the present circumstances do not allow “savings” to exit without losses from the Ukrainian market.
Gref also said that Sberbank is preparing for the unstable situation in Ukraine’s banking sector due to the nationalization of “PrivatBank”.
“For anybody from experts not a secret that “PrivatBank” had to be nationalized. What happened with “PrivatBank” increased unrest among the population. So of course, I think some time we will see an unstable situation and with private clients and legal entities”, – said Gref.
We will remind, Ukraine has banned the Russian payment system.
