Night full ceasefire did not take place.
The Russian occupation troops continue to fire at positions of the Ukrainian Armed forces on Donbass. It is stated by the press center of ATO staff in their daily summary.
As of Saturday evening were 23 fire, which occurred already after 0:00 hours, when it should earn a new truce. “The largest number of attacks recorded in Mariupol direction near the settlements of Maryinka, Shyrokyne and Water. He was twice attacks one mine of caliber of 120 millimeters in the area of Talakivka. On Donetsk the direction our positions were fired in the area of Svetlodarsk arc and Avdeevka. At the direction of Lugansk shelled Yellow”, – noted in the ATO.
However, it stressed that the enemy’s attack was not targeted and did not carry a significant threat to fighters. “Because the attacks were carried purely provocative, the Ukrainian military were not returned fire,” – said in the headquarters.
Earlier in the headquarters of the ATO confirmed the introduction of a comprehensive, sustained, termless cease-fire from 00:00 on 24 December, as is agreed by the Trilateral contact group on the peaceful settlement of the situation in the Donbas. “As of the morning of 24 December the Ukrainian side of the JCCC confirmed the introduction of a comprehensive, sustainable, indefinite ceasefire starting from 00: 00 on 24 December 2016. Along the line of contact established silence”, — reported the head of the Ukrainian side of the JCCC, major-General Anatoly Petrenko.

The shelling in the Donbass should cease in the next few hours. At midnight on the East of the country, all military equipment must be silent. On cessation of the attacks agreed in the framework of the Trilateral contact group. Poroshenko hopes that through the measures that will be implemented in the eve of new year and Christmas holidays, the ceasefire in the Donbas will become permanent.
