The Ministry of foreign Affairs of Ukraine outraged by statements of the candidate in presidents of France from the far-right party “national front” marine Le Pen on the recognition of the legitimate annexation of the Crimea. About it reports the UNIAN.
“Ministry of foreign Affairs of Ukraine expresses its indignation at the fact that one of the candidates election campaign in France, marine Le Pen made statements in support of the temporary occupation and attempted annexation by Russia of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol”, – reads the statement of the foreign Ministry.
Thus, the Agency noted that the annexation of Crimea has been strongly condemned by all civilized countries of the world, as evidenced by the Resolutions of the UN General Assembly in 2014 and 2016 and the numerous decisions and documents of the EU, NATO, Council of Europe, recalled the introduction of sanctions against Russia.
“In response to the criminal actions of the Kremlin France, together with other partners in the “Big seven” and the EU imposed sanctions against Russia, the abolition of which is possible only after the cessation of Russian aggression against Ukraine and de-occupation of Crimea and Donbass”, – stressed the foreign Ministry.

Also the foreign Minister noted that such a statement, Le Pen shows disrespect to sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and completely ignores the fundamental principles of international law.
“In this regard, we remind you that such statements and acts in violation of Ukrainian legislation will have consequences, as it was in the case of certain French politicians who are banned entry to Ukraine”, – said the Minister.
“Sure, that France, as host state of the Channel process and the participant of the Budapest Memorandum of 1994, will continue to be an important partner of Ukraine and will assist in the fight against Russian aggression”, – concluded the Minister.
Earlier, Le Pen said he did not consider the annexation of the Crimea illegal.
“I absolutely do not think that the annexation was illegal: there was a referendum the inhabitants of Crimea wanted to join Russia”, – said the leader of the far-right party “national front”.
