Avakov has decided on the candidacy of the head of national police of Ukraine
The Minister of internal Affairs Arsen Avakov made the Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groisman candidacy of Sergey Knyazev on the appointment of the head of the National police of Ukraine.
About this he wrote in a private Facebook.
The Prime Minister will take a decision on introduction of candidates submitted to the next meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
“I proposed the candidature on the results of the at my initiative, consultation contest, which took place from 15 December 2016 to 6 February 2017. The Commission of the contest, we invited three international experts and three members of reputable non-governmental organizations”, – said Avakov.
According to him, the tendering process included 5 stages. In the first phase were submitted 64 applications. After processing of the documents according to the decision of the tender Commission to participate were admitted 46 people, after the test phase, each of the 10 with the highest number of points held great face-to-face interview with members of the Commission.
According to the results of all stages, members of the Commission recommended a choice of 3 candidates for the post of head of National police of Ukraine.
“Given the opinion of the Commission, I invited the Cabinet to appoint the head of Netpolice Knyazev Sergey Nikolaevich – to the present day the General of the police Sergey Knyazev was the head of the criminal investigation Department of NHRIs”, – said Avakov.
“I hope the police General Knyazev, having experience “on the ground”, high degree of personal integrity, the charge on reform, a proven track record in criminal investigation and real combat experience – the best candidate for head of the National police of Ukraine”.

We will remind, on December 16 in Ukraine, the Advisory announced a competition for the position of head of the National police. After the first stage of the contest was eliminated a quarter of the participantsthat have applied.
According to the Law on the National police, after the election of the finalists, Minister of internal Affairs Arsen Avakov have to choose one candidate, which he will submit to the Prime Minister of Ukraine Vladimir Groisman for the approval of the government.
