“Ukroboronprom” has bought 20 Russian engines for APC at an inflated price – media
Subsidiary enterprise “Ukroboronprom”, “Ukrinmash” bought 20 Russian engines for Ukrainian BTR-80 at an inflated price. The purchase took place not directly but through the Moldovan intermediary firms.

According to journalists, the Ukrainian-Moldovan company bought at the Russian KAMAZ plant 20 engines and two trucks brought them to Moldova. These engines had been resold to another Moldovan company “Autoprezent”, this firm resold the third German, and then the engines were sold in Ukraine.
“Ukrinmash” bought the engine for 15 thousand dollars per unit. The reporters found that in the Moldova components were ready to sell not more than 10 thousand euros, including VAT.

According to journalists, the Ukrainian company paid 121 $ 200 for 20 pieces of track (6060 dollars apiece). Russian engines for the Ukrainian APCS was worth 160 thousand dollars for 20 units (8 thousand dollars apiece). The average price for these motors is 2-3 thousand dollars.
