Groisman criticized the statements of “Naftogaz” and promised not to raise the price of gas

Gas for Ukraine’s population soon to rise will not.

About it assured the Prime Minister Vladimir Groysman, transfers a press-service of the Cabinet.

“I will not allow any raise of gas tariffs for the population. And those who claim about a possible price increase by 40%, have a responsibility to work, or to write the application on dismissal”, – said Groisman.

About a possible price increase, said the chief commercial Director of the group of “Naftogaz of Ukraine” Yuriy Vitrenko. He explained that in the Memorandum with the IMF was recorded that from 1 April 2017 Ukraine will start the liberalization of pricing that would increase the cost of gas for the population.

“We have to make a public and honest discussion about what to expect from April 1 – the date promised by the IMF liberalization of gas pricing for the population. If not will continue the state regulation of prices for the needs of the population, the so-called special duties, based on current gas prices in the European markets, the hryvnia exchange rate and other factors, we can expect that the price of gas for households will grow by 40%,” – said Vitrenko in his article for “the New time”.

We will remind, earlier the government also assured that Ukraine will not agree to IMF demands to raise the retirement age. Recently, however, the Fund said that the Cabinet Groisman supposedly gave in and agreed.
