The Vatican will provide for the fired by fighters of Avdeevki 200 thousand euros

The Vatican will allocate 200 thousand euros for the needs of residents shelled by fighters of Avdeevki.

This was stated by the Apostolic Nuncio Archbishop Claudio Gugerotti, who visited the city on 15 February, the Chairman of the Donetsk regional administration Pavel Zhebrivsky.

The money will be allocated from the Fund of the campaign “Dad”, which Pope Francis announced last year. The aim of this action was to collect funds to help the people of Ukraine suffered from the Russian aggression or become internally displaced people.

According to Zhebrivsky, from all over Europe were collected 16 million euros, Francis personally gave 5 million euros to support the Ukrainians.
