In “Ukrenergo” called the starting date of the possible emergency power outages
Rolling blackouts in Ukraine could start after March 20, when TPP will begin to critically decrease the reserves of anthracite coal. His delivery from the occupied Donbass for a month block activists. So from the 17th of February for at least a month imposed a state of emergency in the energy sector.
“Around the clock save up to 12 thousand tons of anthracite coal. Available reserves will allow to stably operate the power system until March 20 (not March 5-10) without introducing outages. The company turned to industrial enterprises about the transfer of work shifts for the night and to the population to reduce electricity consumption in everyday life”, – stated in the message “Ukrenergo”.
