Lottery marks 551 year: record jackpots of all time
24 February – the official birthday of the lottery. This date was chosen not in vain, because the 551 year ago in Belgium, had arranged the first charity lottery, which marked the beginning of the most popular casino game of all times and peoples.

In Italian the word “lottery” means “destiny”. And this is a fate faced daily by hundreds of thousands of people.
But the first lottery, where the official prize money paid in, was held in Florence. And it is from Italy, the game spread throughout the world.
Currently the largest jackpot game, which ripped off one person, are 363 million dollars (over 10 billion hryvnia). The draw was held in 2000. The lucky winner was Larry (przise unknown) from the state of Illinois in the United States.
The record jackpot was played in January 2016, when $ 1.6 billion was divided among three players. Each received 533 million dollars, which is almost 15 billion UAH.
