Kuleba remembered the worst moment in his career associated with the referendum in the Netherlands

The referendum in the Netherlands was the worst moment in my diplomatic career, permanent representative of Ukraine to the Council of Europe Dmitry Kuleba.

About this he wrote on his page in Facebook, commenting on the ratification of the Association Agreement EU-Ukraine in the lower house of the Dutch Parliament.

“The referendum in the Netherlands was the worst moment in my diplomatic career – the maximum tension forces of the state and the public sector, an unprecedented campaign of Ukraine abroad and the failure of the day of the referendum, and then the house shot is a forced and horrible live Schuster, where I deliberately did not go neither before, nor after,” mentioned the diplomat.

Kuleba noted, was then the most critical moment. According to him, thanks to the efforts of the President of Petro Poroshenko has been able to mobilize the support of Ukraine and to prevent failure of the Netherlands on ratification of the Agreement.

Recall, February 23 Second chamber of the Dutch Parliament supported the government bill on the ratification of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union. For the ratification of the Agreement voted 89 of the 150 deputies, 55 were against.

Now the ratification of the Association Agreement must approve the upper house of the Dutch Parliament – the Senate. After that instruments of ratification will be used for the signature of the king and will go to Brussels. Now in the upper house there is a majority for ratification of the Agreement, at the spring election, its composition will not change.
