“Next week the dollar will be 27.1 hryvnia. The hryvnia strengthened and confident even long trade blockade (in the Donbass) did not shake its position. The beginning of spring has a positive effect not only on us but also on our national currency. Because it involves increasing amounts of foreign exchange from our exports, and thus the national currency is in short supply,” – says Elena Korobkova with the banking Association.
The expert hopes that the strengthening of the hryvnia will continue.
“I hope that for a long time. But the risk there is if the state in one fell swoop reimburse exporters VAT, this is a huge amount of 11 billion hryvnias. The market will happen, so to speak, volvulus, and may occur oscillations,” says Korobkov.
