Switzerland is ready to introduce visa-free regime for citizens of Ukraine after the corresponding decision of the European Union.

About it reports the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Ukraine on the results of the meeting the head of Ukrainian foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin and his Swiss colleague Didier Burkhalter.

“During the bilateral discussion topics was the necessity of signing of agreements on visa facilitation and readmission agreements. The Swiss side expressed its readiness to introduce visa-free regime for Ukrainian citizens after the adoption of the relevant decision by the EU”, – stated in the message.

Recall that on 14 February the European Parliament approved the termination mechanism bezveza with Ukraine. 2 February the European Parliament voted for the introduction of a visa-free regime with Georgia. In turn, 22 February the ambassadors of the European Union approved the mechanism of suspension bezveza with Georgia.

Note the European Parliament’s Committee on civil liberties, justice and internal Affairs approved an agreement to provide the citizens of Georgia visa-free access to the Schengen area as early as 12 January.
