The party Yatsenyuk commented on the possibility of appointment by the head of the NBU

Ex-the Prime Minister-the Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk does not want to take the position of head of the National Bank of Ukraine, but his candidacy is being discussed. This was stated by first Deputy Chairman of the faction “people’s front” Victoria syumar.

According to the people’s darling, the head of the financial regulator Valeria Gontareva is “the leader of distrust of Ukrainians” of all politicians due to the the selected rate of the NBU.

“We are talking about the cleaning of the banking sector and a floating exchange rate. We lower the national currency and do not lend to the economy. This is wrong. Because the task of the NBU to lend to the economy”, – UNIAN cites a quote Sumar.

She added that “Gontareva has a lot of claims, and the politicians, and society. So I would not be surprised at her desire to resign. It’s a miracle that she still holds this position”.

Also Sumar commented on the rumors about the possibility of the appointment of the head of the national Bank of the former Prime Minister and head of the party “national front” Arseniy Yatsenyuk: “as far As I know – he doesn’t want to hold this position, although such proposed reshuffle discussed.”

Recall that the blow was replaced by Stepan Kubiv as the head of the National Bank in June 2014. Kubiv subsequently became the first Vice-Prime Minister, Minister of economic development and trade in the government of Vladimir Groisman. The activities of the national Bank during the leadership Gontareva remember significant reforms, the massive cleanup of the market from troubled banks, and nationalization of the largest Bank in Ukraine – “PrivatBank”, which is already more than two months, is public property.

During the last days in the Ukrainian media began to appear the rumors that Gontareva may leave the chair. The press service of the National Bank of Ukraine, in turn, denied that the Chairman of the Board will resign.
