Not allow the formation of a bridgehead terrorism: trump wants to tighten control over the entry into the United States
US President, Donald trump declared intention of introducing “new steps” to strengthen control over the entry of foreign citizens to the United States in the fight against terrorism.
He stated this during his address to both chambers of the us Congress, writes UKRINFORM.
“According to the Ministry of justice, the vast majority of persons convicted of crimes related to terrorism since September 11 (2001 ed.), arrived here from outside our country”, – said the head of the White house.
Trump recalled the terrorist attacks in Boston, San Bernardino, and also in other countries. In most cases, according to him, the attacks were carried out by immigrants from other countries.
“We cannot allow the formation of the bridgehead of terrorism in America, we cannot allow our nation has become a haven for extremists,” said the American President.
According to him, the current administration is working to improve the procedures for checking those who enter to the country.
“We will soon take new steps to keep our nation safe and to keep those who can harm us”, – concluded the President of the United States.
