China will increase defense spending by only 7%

In 2017, China will increase its military budget by 7%, amounting to 1.3% of GDP, which is the slowest pace of growth since 2010. About this informed the official representative of vsekitajsky meeting of national representatives (vsnp) Fu Ying, reports UKRINFORM.

“Every year, we draw up the military budget taking into account China’s economic development and our needs. This year’s military budget will grow by about 7% and amount to 1.3% of GDP”, – stated in the message.

Note, China’s military budget is ranked second in the world after the USA.
