The IMF agreed on a renewed Memorandum of cooperation with Ukraine

The international monetary Fund signed an updated Memorandum of cooperation with Ukraine. This means that in the near future, after a positive decision of the IMF Board of Directors, Kyiv will receive the next tranche of the loan of 1 billion dollars.

“The IMF mission reached agreement with the authorities of Ukraine under the Memorandum on economic and financial policy. This opens the way for the third revision in the second half of March, the Fund’s Board of Directors eff EFF and the reports under article IV of the IMF Charter (the collection and discussion of economic and financial country information)”, – said the head of the IMF mission in Ukraine Ron van Ore, which quoted the press service of the Fund.

Recall that Ukraine has already received from the IMF on a new extended credit programme 7.7 billion dollars. The last installment was in September of 2016, when Kiev received $ 1 billion.

Overall, the program signed in the spring of 2015, for four years, and the total amount of the loan amount to $ 17.5 billion.

Earlier, the head of the NBU Valery Gontareva said that in spite of the delay of the fourth tranche, the baseline scenario provides for four tranches of the IMF in the amount of $ 5.4 billion in 2017.
