Illegally condemned in Russia, the Ukrainian Stanislav Klyh sent to serve his sentence in a colony known Verkhneuralsk in the Chelyabinsk region.

Verkhneuralsk prison is known that during the Soviet era until 1955 there was a well-known political prisoners. Among them Bolshevik officials who were in opposition to Stalin, Orthodox priests, the former NKVD prisoners of war and others. According to some, was held there and died a cousin of Adolf Hitler.
