The national Bank has estimated the volume of international reserves

In February 2017 the volume of gold reserves has not changed as at the beginning of March amounted to 15 billion 459,7 million dollars.

Such data are the national Bank of Ukraine.

“Since the beginning of the current year the volume of international reserves almost unchanged due to the fact that in February the national Bank was able to offset the costs of foreign currency made in January to smooth excessive fluctuations of the hryvnia. Replenishment of international reserves during February occurred on the interbank foreign exchange market by conducting foreign exchange auctions and foreign exchange interventions in the form of a request a better rate. Due to the gradual increase in foreign currency revenues from exports and higher prices for Ukrainian exports on global markets in February saw excess supply of currency on the interbank market”, – said the NBU.

In General, the net purchase of foreign currency by the national Bank in February amounted to 80,9 million dollars.

“The results of the month the volume of international reserves of Ukraine covering 3.3 months of future imports is sufficient to meet the liabilities and current operations of the government and the National Bank”, – assured the regulator.

Earlier in the NBU reported that the international reserves will grow up to 2017, to reach 21.3 billion dollars, while in 2018 – to 27.1 billion dollars.
