Russian Bank through court demands from “Odessaoblenergo” to pay $ 15 million

Russian “VTB Bank” requires to recover $ 15 million from a Ukrainian company “Odessaoblenergo”.

A lawsuit the Bank filed in the Economic court of Odessa region, reports the Duma.

We are talking about debt on the credit agreement dated may 29, 2008.

“VTB Bank” owns the Russian Bank, 60.9% of shares which are in state ownership.

25% of actions “Odessaoblenergo” belongs to Ukraine, 32,5183% — the company “VS energy international Ukraine” (Kiev), of 17.98% of the company V. S. Energy International N. V. (the Netherlands).

Recall that in may 2016 the President of the Russian VTB Bank Andrey Kostin said that it is likely their units will withdraw from the Ukrainian market. “As for Ukraine, we bear substantial losses. We do not see there big opportunities, both economic and political,” – said the head of VTB.

He also noted that at the first suitable opportunity, they better have sold the entire business.
