“There should be intention or knowledge of the attack”. Russia commented on the accusations of Ukraine in the crash of MH-17
Russia is defending its position in the International court of justice in the Hague, says that those who provided for the use of missile system “Buk” was not going to shoot down a civilian plane over Ukraine, so Ukraine has no grounds for charges.
This was stated by the representatives of the Russian Federation during a speech in the Hague, writes “European true”.
In particular, the Russian side invited the lawyer Samuel Wordsworth, which presents a more detailed legal position of the Russian Federation, noted that in the episode with the supply in the Donbass complex “Buk” Ukraine did not give orders for compliance with those requirements.
“Must be a realization that Beech supplied for attacks on civilian aircraft. But Ukraine argues only that he was delivered from Russia, and nothing more,” he said, but did not admit that the Buk missile system was indeed delivered from the Russian territory.
According to Wordsworth, which refers to media reports, the militants had intended to shoot down Ukrainian military aircraft, not a civilian airliner.
Separately, he also noted that Russia was treated with mistrust and doubt the results of the investigation released by the International investigation team.
In turn, the head of the Department of new challenges and threats of the Russian Federation Ilya Rogachev, said that the charges for the Convention on the financing of terrorism government require not only the fact of a terrorist attack, and not only promoting to those who committed it, but also the fact that the sponsor “had the intention or knew about the attack”.
“There must be either intention or knowledge,” he added.
