The court of Latvia was arrested for special confiscation of $ 26 million ex-Deputy Ivanyushchenko
In Latvia, the court of appeal upheld the trial court’s decision regarding special confiscation of $ 26 million belonging to the former Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Yuriy Ivanyushchenko.
About this on his page in Facebook said the Deputy Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yevhen Yenin.
“I have not saved Ivanyushchenko neither bought the decision in the Ukrainian courts, or even the recent lifting of sanctions by the EU Council. 7.03 the Latvian court of appeal upheld the trial court’s decision regarding special confiscation 26 million dollars, belonging to Yury Ivanyushchenko,” wrote ENIN.

According to him, lawyers of the former MP had failed to prove the legality of these funds, so the decision is final and not appealable.
“Ivanyushchenko finally lost the ability to return the money, but Ukraine has a chance to see the money as the only appropriate verdict concerning Ivanyushchenko in Ukraine will come into force,” said ENIN.
