US concerned about another attempt of Russia to strengthen the humanitarian crisis in the Donbass

The us delegation to the OSCE expressed deep concern over the fact that the joint Russian-separatist forces deliberately shelled a critical infrastructure in the East of Ukraine to artificially strengthen the humanitarian crisis.

This was stated during a meeting of the OSCE Permanent Council in Vienna, the U.S. representative Kate burns, writes UKRINFORM.

“We call on all parties in the Trilateral contact group as soon as possible to reach agreement on new areas of differentiation, particularly in the areas of location of critical civilian infrastructure, in particular the Donetsk filtration station water,” burns said.

The US representative stressed that the best way to reduce tensions is the full implementation of the Minsk agreements.

“The United States remains deeply concerned by the continuing violations by Russia of international law and utter disregard of the principles and commitments of the OSCE, which are observed in the Crimea”, – said the American diplomat.

In this regard, she stressed that the Russian occupation authorities on the Peninsula “continues to commit serious violations against Crimean Tatars, ethnic Ukrainians and all those who oppose the Russian occupation of the Peninsula.”
