The foreign Ministry believe that the claim of Ukraine against Russia would become an intellectual challenge for the UN

Ukraine will continue to prepare for the next stages of the trial for the suit against Russia in International court of justice.

This was stated by the head of the Ukrainian delegation, Deputy Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine Elena serkal, reports UKRINFORM.

The mirror also noted that it is difficult to predict the timing of the hearing, because it is a complex process and, in addition, this is the first time the court will consider the case against the International Convention on the suppression of the financing of terrorism.

“This is the first time it (the Convention – ed.) is considered by the court. Yesterday and the day before it became clear that we have radically different polar legal position regarding the interpretation of the Convention (with Russia – ed.). Therefore, for the court it is also an intellectual challenge. And there are questions as to how they will be treated on terms. Because it’s actually a large study which they should undertake to formulate its position,” she added.
