The European Union has extended individual sanctions against Russia and militants

The European Union for six months extended sanctions against 150 citizens of Russia, the so-called “LNB” and “DND” and 37 organizations.

This is stated in the message on the website of the EU Council.

“13 March 2017, the Council extended the restrictive measures in respect of actions that harm or threaten the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine for a further six months, until 15 September 2017”, – stated in the message.

The measures include the freezing of assets and ban on entry.

Earlier, the European Union extended sanctions against deprived the title of President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych and his cronies for another year. According to Ricarda of Jozwiak, ambassadors of countries-members of EU make the decision to extend freezing the assets of Yanukovych and another 14 former Ukrainian officials. However, the EU decided to lift sanctions against the ex-the regional Yury Ivanyushchenko, who was also part of the entourage of Yanukovych.

Thus, in the list of EU sanctions, other than Viktor Yanukovych, remain: Vitaliy Zakharchenko, Viktor Pshonka, Olena Lukash, Andriy Klyuyev, Viktor Ratushnyak, Alexander Yanukovych, Pshonka, Artem, Sergei Klyuyev, Mykola Azarov, Serhiy Kurchenko, Dmytro Tabachnyk, Sergey Arbuzov, Alexander Klimenko and Eduard Stavytskyi.
