The act on the punishment of dual citizenship can vote on Thursday
The MPs decided not to touch ordinary Ukrainians punished with deprivation of citizenship in case of detection of a passport of another country, and to provide for the responsibility only for officials. In contrast, the ex-radical Andrey Artemenko proposed to legalize dual citizenship, according to a story TSN.19:30.
In front of colleagues, the Deputy admitted that he has a passport of a citizen of Canada. “According to my information, over a hundred MPs have dual citizenship. And about 17% of Ukraine’s population. And the entire civilized world,” said Artemenko. However, the policy initiatives of other people’s deputies did not support. The people’s Deputy Borislav Birch and Vadim Novinsky on the contrary – once again confirmed that he refused from the citizenship of Israel and the Russian Federation respectively in order to receive the blue book with Trident.
