The national Bank offers to automatically write off the “communal” cards with Ukrainians

The national Bank of Ukraine offers to automatically deduct utility payments from cards of Ukrainians entering a single electronic receipt.

In the Bank claim: debit money from the account will be made only with the consent of the client. Among the advantages is the client can make payments 24/7 and not depend on the queue in the Bank.

This service is successfully works in US and EU countries. In particular, in the Netherlands and the UK about half of all utility payments are made this way. In Ukraine, a similar payment system operates only in several banks.

Initially billed by the utility to the customer. Further, the Bank sees the account and shall obtain the consent from the client to withdraw funds from his account, it alerts the customer and writes off this amount. Further, the funds are transferred to the supplier.

The service of automatic withdrawal of funds from maps for communal really popular in EU and America. In Ukraine, on the contrary, it can complicate the lives of the people who agree to use it, lawyers say. So, workers tend to make mistakes and to exhibit large and unwarranted bill. To return the funds, you will have to spend years, lawyers say.

To avoid such troubles, the national Bank propose to the Parliament to protect the rights of consumers law. To pay for the communal people was really convenient, instead of dozens of receipts I want to create one – electronic. And send it to all the banks of Ukraine as a state and commercial.

We will remind, on behalf of the Council, the Cabinet of Ministers jointly with the National Commission exercising the state regulation in the energy and utilities, must immediately verify the correctness and validity of tariffs for housing and communal services in Ukraine.
