“We have to keep your eyes open”. Lukashenka commented on the attempt to break through the Belarusian border
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, commenting on the attempt to break the car with weapons on the border with Ukraine, said that the attackers are trying to destabilize the situation in the country.
He said this during the hearing of the report of the plan of the joint strategic exercises of the armed forces of Belarus and Russia “West-2017” in Minsk, writes “Interfax-Ukraine”.
“On the state border of the periodically suppressed the facts of illegal actions. This, in particular, the attempts to smuggle weapons and other dangerous items and materials. Today’s incident at the state border, in this case the Belarusian-Ukrainian when I had to use the weapon…”, he said, also outlining two cases of violation of border crossing rules.
Lukashenko asked to inform him personally on the outcome of the investigation of all incidents.
“This all suggests that we should relax not stuck. We need to keep your eyes open and in any case not to give a pretext to destabilize the situation in our country”, – said the Belarusian President.
In turn, the official representative of the State border service of Ukraine Oleg Slobodyan said that the SUV that broke through the border, was a Belarusian rooms, besides it not cross the Ukrainian border, neither on entry nor on exit.
“We help Belarusian colleagues to establish how and why could this car to come, and whether he came from the territory of Ukraine, and who was driving this car,” he said.
Earlier, Belarusian border guards said that night, a car with armed men tried to break from Ukraine to the territory of Belarus. Militiamen managed to detain the jeep, only using weapons. Arrested two people, one wanted.
