The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has proposed to eliminate the tax police.
He stated this during a meeting of the regional development Council.
“My political will lies in the fact that the tax police should be eliminated. It is a job not muscular guys in masks, and “nerds” in white collar using the dimension”, – he stressed.

According to the head of the state, employees of the tax police need not power and analytical ability, “not brute force, mask-show, and efficient concrete work”.
“We agreed that before the meeting of the National Council of reforms with the active participation of the government, parliamentary committees, MPs, experts and the public will be further refined and developed the bill which I am ready to submit as urgent, short term has earned a new service of financial investigations as a fundamentally new, intellectually-analytical body,” he added.
Recall, from January 1, 2017, the activity of tax police is illegal, because due to a clerical error (change of numbers of paragraphs of the law) its activities are no longer provided by the Tax code. At the same time, the paragraph about the elimination of agencies are also there. The tax police were ordered to eliminate, once you have created the financial police.
