In Ukraine can disable the Belarusian channel that showed a map of the Ukrainian territory without Crimea
TV channel “Belarus 24” was shown in a live map of Ukraine without Russia annexed the Peninsula of Crimea, which violates Ukrainian legislation.
This was reported in the press service of the National Council of Ukraine on television and radio.
“Monitoring of the National Council of 14 February in the program is information-analytical direction in the category “Accents” recorded demonstration of a virtual map of the countries that are members of a regional grouping of the Central European initiative, which includes and Ukraine. On this map the territory of the Ukrainian state was depicted without the Crimea”, – stated in the message.
According to the regulator, this editorial policy indicates support for channel aggression of Russia against Ukraine and annexation of Crimea.

“This fact is also a violation of article 28 of the law of Ukraine “On information”, according to which information cannot be used for calls to overthrow the constitutional order, violation of territorial integrity of Ukraine, propaganda of war, violence, cruelty, incitement of interethnic, racial, religious hostility, committing terrorist acts, encroachment on rights and freedoms of the person”, – stressed in the national Council.
Moreover, it is noted that the channel broadcasts biased information about the current situation in Ukraine is not adhering to generally accepted journalistic standards.
“On February 26 in the information-analytical program “the Main air” was not a balance of views on various political developments in Ukraine that led to their one-sided coverage”, – said in the national Council.
Currently, the regulator has urged the channel management to bring the contents of broadcast programs in accordance with the requirements of part two of article 6 of the law of Ukraine “On television and radio broadcasting” and article 28 of the law of Ukraine “On information”, otherwise the Council will be forced to consider the suspension of retransmission of the programs of “Belarus 24” on the territory of Ukraine.
Earlier, the Polish publishing house “Studio PLAN” given the political map of Europe, in the printed version of which Crimea was specified territory of Russia, and in the email – provided that the Peninsula is a disputed territory. After that the Polish publisher has apologized for it and stopped selling cards.
