“Museum News” broke the record for attendance during a special course on first aid for journalists

Today in the “Museum news” held a special course for journalists, in which representatives of the red cross Society of Ukraine were trained media professionals to the basic rules of medical care. For the first hour of work came to the Museum record number of visitors – more than a thousand, and from the start of the project about 78 thousand.

During the meeting, journalists were taught to do chest compressions, artificial respiration and stop the bleeding. These skills are very important for the media because journalism is among TOP 10 most dangerous professions in the world. It is the media workers are often in situations where you need to be able promptly and correctly to provide first aid.

Also during the training, the commander of the rapid response unit of the red cross Society of Ukraine Taras Loginov presented the award “For courage” of the special correspondent of TSN Natalya Nagornaya, which during the Euromaidan protests and travel in the area ATO has not saved one life. Natalia gave a lecture on first aid and shared his own experience, how not to get lost in extreme situations.

“My main goal and the idea of today’s meeting is to share with you my experience, because journalism is one of the most dangerous professions. Everyone should know the basic rules of first aid and have a clear plan of action while waiting for the ambulance,” he addressed to journalists Natalia.

Recall that from 2 to 26 March in Kiev held a large-scale exhibition project “Museum of news”, dedicated to the 20th anniversary of TSN. The Museum exposition, which is presented in the main exhibition space of the Kiev Art Arsenal, talks about how news are generated, how they are changing the lives of his characters, reveals the secrets of ratings and internal production kitchen news and presents unique exhibits since independence.
