The deputies did not want to cancel the controversial amendments to the law on e-Declaration

On March 24, the Parliament failed to cancel results of voting regarding amendments to the law “On preventing corruption”, which include Declaration of incomes, representatives of public organizations. About it reports “Ukrainian truth”.

For the corresponding resolution No. 6172-P of the 226 deputies registered in the session hall, voted only 26.

According to one of the authors of the draft resolution Yegor Sobolev, during the adoption of the law on the changes to the e-Declaration was made many edits that made the rule are contradictory. In particular, the law obliges to declare the income of representatives of public associations and the officials.

“We yesterday passed a law, which under the guise of the need to exempt from filing military personnel, first, ordered many public organizations and all those who work with them, to submit declarations, second, it contains direct contradictions in their regulations that make it difficult to put it into operation,” – said Sobolev.

We will remind, on March 23, deputies of the VR adopted amendments to the law on e-Declaration, according to which, representatives of public associations are obliged to submit reports on their incomes.

We will note, earlier people’s Deputy from the faction “people’s front” Tatiana Chornovol his amendment proposed to introduce e-Declaration and for individuals who are founders (participants), editors (the editors) media. But during the discussion the proposal was withdrawn because the journalists do not receive salaries from the budget and not live on taxpayers ‘ money, unlike civil servants.

We emphasize that the U.S. Embassy condemned the new changes to the law on e-Declaration.
