A Russian court arrested in absentia Yatsenyuk in the case of the “Chechen atrocities”

Russian court in absentia arrested the former Prime Minister of Ukraine and leader of the party “national front” Arseniy Yatsenyuk. In Russia he is accused of “atrocities” during the war in Chechnya.

The decision to arrest was taken Essentuki city court of Stavropol region of the Russian Federation, taking into account the resolution of the investigator of the Main investigation Department of the TFR in the North Caucasian Federal district.

“In Essentuki city court considered the petition of the investigator for particularly important cases of the fifth division of the Department of investigation of particularly important cases of the Main investigative Department of the investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in the North Caucasian Federal district of election of a measure of restraint in form of detention in respect of A. P. Yatseniuk, accused of committing crimes under part 2 of article 209 of the criminal code, paragraph “b”, “z”, “h” of article 102, part 2 of article 15, paragraph “b”, “z”, “h” of article 102 of the RSFSR criminal code. The judgment in respect of Yatsenyuk in absentia preventive measure in the form of detention, due to the fact that he is 21 February 2017 declared in the international search. And indicated that the time calculated from the moment of detention of the accused on the territory of the Russian Federation or extradited to the Russian Federation”, – reports a press-service of the court.

Yatsenyuk believes that the legal absurdity of Russia demonstrates the agony of Putin’s criminal regime.

Recall, 8 September 2015, the head of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexander Bastrykin saidthat the former Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk in the middle of 1990-ies fought against the Armed forces of the Russian Federation in the “hit squad” in Chechnya. It should be noted that in the 90-ies Yatsenyuk graduated from high school and studied at the law faculty of Chernivtsi national University named after Yuriy Fedkovych.

Yatsenyuk had earlier called for the prosecution of a clinical diagnosis of the Russian authorities.
