“Russia is a peaceful state”. Lavrov said that Russia wants from the Ukraine

The Minister of foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov has told, what really Russia wants.

He stated in an interview “Arguments and facts”.

“Russia is a peaceful state. We have no territorial claims against the neighbors. Interested to we were surrounded by a prosperous country, with whom we’d been building partnerships in the spirit of good neighbourliness. However, our efforts will continue to be designed to not allow “hot heads” in Kiev to start in the South-East of the country a new round of violence. In any case, the residents of Donbas in trouble we will not leave,” he said.

Lavrov stressed that Russia will continue to work to ensure that “Kiev has stopped the blockade of Donbass and began the full implementation of the Minsk agreements”.

“Today it is obvious that the settlement process has stalled due to the persistent refusal of the Ukrainian leadership to fulfill its obligations under the Minsk agreements”, – he said.

The politician believes that “long-term solution to the problems associated with the deep crisis in Ukraine can be found only through political and diplomatic means”.

Recall Lavrov called for an immediate end to the blockade in the Donbass. The corresponding statement Lavrov made after talks with his German counterpart Shmarim Gabriel in Moscow.
